Alessandro Malagnino
, one of the most renowned saxophonists in the world. The evening will end with the awarding by the

On Saturday 25 May, starting from 9.00 again at the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory of Music, the performances of the 14 different guest orchestras, each with a selected repertoire of classical and modern music. Prof's conference will follow at 12.00.Luciano Inguaggio, world-renowned historian and collector, on vintage saxophones. At 4.00 pm Alessandro Malagnino he will play solo.

There Giuseppe De Matola Foundation, born in 2023 from the will of Dr. Ssa Ann Pizzorusso , celebrates the memory of his partner Giuseppe De Matola , always eager to help saxophone students in their studies. Precisely for this reason the Foundation aims to support young talents thanks to awarding of five annual scholarships and promoting International masterclasses and free events to bring more and more people closer to the world of sax. This year the support for SaxophonEvent will give the Foundation the opportunity to create a saxophone study center in Naples , with the aim of increasing the city's importance in the international music scene.
Born in Cortale, he is a classical saxophonist, with French training. He has performed in concerts around the world as a soloist, collaborating with theOrchestra of the S. Carlo Theater of Naples And L ' Orchestra of the National Academy of S. Cecilia in Rome . His performances with artists such as Andrea Bocelli And Ennio Morricone . He is currently a saxophone teacher at the "San Pietro a Majella" Conservatory of Music in Naples and has been conducting his own musical production since 1997.
Esteemed saxophonist, he began his musical studies in Italy, graduating with top marks and honorable mention. He continues his journey in France, al Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he concluded the master's degree with the applause of the jury. Subsequently he obtained the 3rd cycle diploma "Artist-Diploma" with the Next ensemble. Upon completion of training, he begins to perform both as soloist than with other formations of chamber music , always demonstrating a great interest in contemporary music. Malagnino won the second prize At the contest " Adolphe Sax from Dinant ”, the most prestigious competition in the world, and the first prize At the contest " Adolphe Sax de l'Haÿ-Les-Roses ”, to name just a few of the numerous awards obtained.
